discovery & assessment

We start by understanding your environment, goals, and constraints in depth. This means reviewing your current setup, documenting requirements, and identifying risks before any design decisions are made.

architecture & design

We design the target architecture and produce a clear plan: what will be built, how it will be migrated, in what sequence, and why. You have full visibility into the approach before work begins.

implementation

We build and deploy according to the agreed design. Progress is communicated throughout, so your team knows where things stand at every stage and there are no surprises at go-live.

testing & validation

Before cutover, we validate that everything works as designed. Issues are resolved in a controlled environment, not discovered in production. Go-live happens when we're confident it's ready.

handover & closeout

Every engagement closes with full documentation, a knowledge transfer session for your team, and a stabilization period after go-live. Your team is equipped to run the environment from day one, with continued support available if you want it.

about tech casters

Hi there. I am Chrysillis Collier, founder of Tech Casters and a Cloud Solutions Architect with 20 years in IT and deep specialization in enterprise Microsoft cloud.

What drew me to this field in the first place was curiosity: I like figuring out how systems actually work, and then building something solid that other people can rely on. That is why I gravitated toward infrastructure and sysadmin work specifically, I like building the foundation everyone else gets to work on top of.

I founded Tech Casters to put that experience and curiosity to direct use, doing senior-level work for companies that need it done properly: cloud migrations, virtual desktop rollouts, identity and security architecture, and getting environments ready for AI tools.

frequently asked questions

What kinds of projects do you take on?
Cloud migrations to Azure from on-premises or competing platforms, virtual desktop deployments, identity and security architecture, DevOps pipeline buildouts, and readiness work for AI tools like Copilot. The common thread is complex Microsoft cloud work that requires a senior architect.
What size companies do you typically work with?
Mostly small and mid-size organizations. Company size matters less than the scope of the project.
How is work scoped and priced?
Scope, deliverables, and pricing are agreed upfront, before any work begins. Most engagements are project-based with no ongoing commitment required, and where it makes sense, continued support after go-live can be arranged separately. If you are unsure what scope looks like for your situation, the discovery call is where we work that out.
Do you work on-site or remotely?
Both. The majority of cloud infrastructure work is done remotely, wherever you are. For clients in Berlin, I am available on-site directly. For clients elsewhere, including the rest of Europe and the US, on-site support for setups, takedowns, or other hands-on work can be arranged through a trusted network of local technicians.
Can you work alongside an existing internal IT team?
Yes. Many engagements involve collaborating with an existing IT team, whether I am leading a migration they will take over, bringing specialist Azure expertise to a project they are managing, or working in parallel on separate workstreams. I am comfortable in that kind of structure.
What does the discovery call cover?
It is a 30-minute conversation where we talk through your environment, the project you have in mind, timeline, and whether it is a good fit. There is no obligation to proceed. You will leave with a clearer picture of options and next steps regardless.
Can you handle large-scale migrations?
Yes. Before founding Tech Casters I designed and ran enterprise-scale Azure Virtual Desktop environments. Scale is not the hard part. Planning is, and that is where most of my time goes.
Do you work exclusively with Microsoft technologies?
Yes. My work is focused on the Microsoft stack: Azure, Azure Virtual Desktop, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and Intune.
Do I need to have existing cloud infrastructure in place?
No. I work with organizations at any stage: starting from scratch, migrating from on-premises, or already in the cloud and looking to rearchitect or optimize.
Do you work in German or English?
Both. Whichever works best for you and your team is fine.
How quickly can you start a new project?
It depends on current project commitments. The discovery call is the right starting point. From there we can discuss availability and realistic timelines for getting started.
Do you sign NDAs or other agreements?
Yes. NDAs, data processing agreements, and other standard business agreements are not a problem. If you need something in place before the discovery call, let me know in advance and we can sort that out.
